With the 1st pick of the 14th Round (407th overall), the Astros select 5'10" 170lb, a Senior LHP from LSU.
Cotton (who has a great Twitter handle - @58percentCotton) was a reliever for the LSU Tigers, pitching 42IP, 24H/6ER, 3BB:45K, recording 16 saves with a 1.29 ERA. He started his college career as a walk-on, and finished as SEC Tournament MVP. Coach Paul Mainieri said, "I'm going to cry like a baby when Chris Cotton graduates."
