We didn't come out here to play tiddlywinks, son.
I'm copy/pasting my comments from Twitter, so excuse the syntax:Last year's division winners were 68-38 with a 147 run differential against last place teams. This isn't new.Over past three years division winners are 216-103 over last place teams with 574 run dif. Trend seems to holdBiggest run differential offender over that time span? AL West...Seattle at the bottom each time. 39-18, 115.
Maybe I've just been reading too much lately, but this childish "writing" from a journalist isn't even surprising anymore. Lame snark is a new virtue. There is only one way to end this crap and that is to become competitive again.
Last time the Astros lost a game to the Mariners, all the Mariners writers came out and made fun of the Astros. Then we scored 24 runs against them and won the next two handily. Hopefully we have a repeat.Including last night's "outburst" the Mariners now have scored 24 runs in their last 11 games combined.
Is that a 15-year old kid writing that piece? As soon as a childish nickname is mentioned in an article I chalk it up to an attention desperate writer. I quit reading there so not sure what else was in it.
looks like a first grader wrote that article...
Just another hack following the herd.....we're just gonna have to take it until the kids mature and get here. It is kind of amusing that he seems to take the Mariners seriously; no one else in baseball has since A-Rod and the Big Unit left town.....
It's not even original. Lastros is a nickname from the sixties and seventies. It wasn't funny back then either.
He is just jealous because we are smarter than they are spending a lot less... acquiring g 1.1 picks In the draft and stocking talent.
Oakland's beating Boston 12-0 right now. Does that mean the Red Sox are now the worst team in the history of baseball?
Holding on to today's lead and winning another series against the M's would bring joy to my Wednesday, but this article makes it even sweeter.
