Jason Michaels is no longer our problem

The gentleman who took so many ABs away from Brian Bogusevic, the gentleman Brad Mills trusted off the bench above all others - Jason Michaels - has signed a minor-league deal with the Washington Nationals.

I don't get all this Michaels-hating. The man was a very good 4th OF/PH for a pretty long, decent career. As recently as 2010 he was contributing to a lot of Astros wins.

Yes, he fell off a cliff offensively this year, and yes, it was strange how often they kept putting him in the starting lineup, but let's show a little respect for a guy who by all accounts was a great teammate and true professional, hmmm?

Reuben I know what you're saying but I don't think any of the hate is geared toward Michaels at all. He was a great guy to have on the team and by all accounts a very good guy. I wish him the best

I think most fans just got tired of watching Mills run him out there over and over again instead of some of the younger guys last year. So i think the celebration is because people can now be sure that we don't bring him back and have Mills decide that he should be the starting right fielder because he is so "veterany."
