Might Brett Wallace get moved?

We're four and a half months away from Opening Day, and I'm already pissed about the lineup. Why? Because ESPN's Jim Bowden says that (Insider-only) Carlos Lee is the starting first baseman for 2012.

What does it mean for Brett Wallace? For Bowden, it means that it opens up a trade with the Indians - who are not convinced that Matt LaPorta (the big prospect Cleveland got from Milwaukee in the Sabathia trade) will hit. Sound familiar?

  1. It's time to move Wallace...if there is a trade...anywhere...take the money and run.

I'm in the camp that thinks they messed with Wallace's head but you can't completely absolve the player. At some point you have to operate like a pro and bring your game and check your head issues at the gate.

  2. I could see us moving Wallace but we definitely don't need another right handed hitting first baseman. We are very right handed as is.

  4. When a guy is traded 3 times in 3 years and now his fourth team wants to trade him......doubt the Astros can find a sucker who will give them much back, unless they can trade with themselves......
