Here are the six players who will lose playing time to Jason Michaels this month:
Lucas Harrell
Chris Johnson
Jordan Lyles
J.B. Shuck
J.R. Towles
Brett Wallace
Enerio Del Rosario will be activated from the DL to serve as the 7th player. First off, we called a list of potentials, and were spot-on (picking some players who were called-up in the meantime).
That said, it's a traveshamockery that Andy Van Hekken is not on this list.

I'm not sure why everyone is so up in arms about Van Hekken. He's a 31-year old pitcher finesse righthander having a decent but not spectacular season at AAA ball. This guy isn't likely to produce great value at the ML level now and he's certainly not an important part of the team's future.
Yeah, I feel bad for him that he can perform pretty well and still not get a shot, but that doesn't mean it makes good baseball sense to call him up.
Traveshamockery....
No making up words!
I can understand your reasoning, but the guy has been in the Astros' system for the past four years. He has pitched well this season, and maybe I'm a softie, but I'd like to see the guy get a three-week reward for his services.
And it's a combination of "travesty," "sham," and "mockery."
Burgerflickle!
I was bit disappointed at not seeing Van Hekken on the list as well although I was pretty certain that would be the case.
For the record, I wanted him to get a few weeks for similar reasoning....which means I can call you a girl. ;D
Please tell me Paredes won't be losing time to Johnson. It's nice having a third sacker who can actually catch the ball and throw it accurately. He also has better plate dicipline surprisingly enough. I wish they would just cut Johnson.
OremLK. Van Hekken is a left handed pitcher.
I agree, Johnson needs to be cut.
