The St. Louis Post-Dispatch covered a reluctant Berkman, as the Cardinals come to town today.
Berkman:
"I'm not crazy about going back in there. I felt like I've kind of turned the page and part of me just wants to be done with it. But I know I'm going to have to go back in there and face a lot of questions. I guess it's inevitable. When I signed here, I knew we were going to go in there three times, so I'm ready to go and to get all the hoopla, if there is going to be any, out of the way."
Hey, Berkman, do you miss playing in Houston?
"It's really not the same place. It's not the same team. It's a totally different environment. It's a totally different atmosphere...I miss those people and not necessarily the place, although the place does have a lot of good memories for me. I'm hopeful they won't hold it against me that I'll be playing for another team, (although) fans are fickle."
We didn't come out here to play tiddlywinks, son.
