The most surprising line for me is Jose Valdez's. Small sample size alert, but a 21K:2BB rate is far, far better than his numbers this year (he walked approximately one batter per two innings in '09). It is, however, closer to his career numbers, so that might be more his true talent level. I hope so.
Totally agree. K:BB ratios are my favorite stats because it's a little more independent than, say, BAA. Compare Valdez' K:BB to Capellan's and it's pretty easy to see who you'd rather have...
